BIO

Through their post-grunge and alternative vibe, Tarbox manages to give groove and a new flavour to these somewhat forgotten styles. The band was always attracted by the 90’ sound in whatever they wrote. From the earliest stage of the project, nothing had ever been clearer. Being 3 guys born right after the big grunge wave, they naturally grew up listening to all the great legends that we all look up to today. With this new wave coming back to life, Tarbox aspires to be a part of it and work towards making this 90’ sound relevant again.

With the help of Dave Traina from The Damn Truth, the band produced and recorded their first album as Tarbox at The FreqShop studio (The Franklin Electric, We Are Monroe, John Jacob Magystery), in Montreal. With a heavy and emotional meaning behind it, this new album offers a wide range of intensity and dynamics.

The release of ‘’Saviors’’ was a great success and motivator for everyone involved in the project. The results were bigger than what we ever expected. First off, the single ‘’White Lie’’ caught the attention of Jason Rockman, famous host of Montreal’s biggest rock station CHOM 97.7. The song was presented as the ‘’Big Shiny New Song of The Week’’ and stayed on regular rotation. Then, Tarbox sold out two shows in a week at the Petit Campus. Now on another level, the whole album got great reviews on many music blogs such as “i-Heart radio”, ‘’Havoc Underground’’, ‘’Giggoer’’, ‘’Punknews” and many more.
